  • How do I use the library catalog?

    To use the Library catalog, search for your book by keyword, title, author, subject, or series. Next, view the book titles and click on the title(s) that interest you.

  • How do I find a library book in the stacks?

    Step 1: Find the book’s call number by looking in the Library catalog or ask Ms. Hernandez.
    Step 2: Double-check that the book is available by looking for “Local copies available” (if the number is more than 1, you’re good to go!) .
    Step 3: Look at the call number signs posted on the library columns to find your book.
    Step 4: Search in the stacks by the call number to find your book.

    If you are unable to locate the book, ask Ms. Hernandez for help!

  • How do I check out/return a library book?

    To check out a Library book, please visit the Library desk and provide Ms. Hernandez with your last name. She will inform you of when the book is due (*tip*: write this date down so you don’t forget to return your book).

    To return a Library book, place your book in the basket on the Library desk before/on the book’s due date.

  • How do I use the printer?

    To use the printer, either tap your One Card on the printer or type in your Student ID number on the printer screen*.

    *The first time you do this, you will need to type the Username and Password you use for your computer. Then you will tap your One Card and print!

  • How do I cite a source for my paper/project/bibliography/etc.?

    To cite a source, consult the Archer Library Citation Guides (MLA, APA). You can also use either NoodleTools (sign-in with Archer login) or the Purdue Owl citation guide (MLA, APA, Chicago).

  • How do I start my research project?

    First, organize your thoughts using either NoodleTools or setting-up an appointment with Ms. Hernandez.

  • What time does the library open? What time does the library close?

    The Library opens at 8am and closes at 5pm, unless otherwise specified.

  • Who created the Library website?

    The new Library website was a collaboration of current Librarian Denise Hernandez and former Library Assistant and Archer Alum Sarah Boehm (Class of 2016) :)
